I'm new to php and of course phpnuke. You are saying that for $2.95/m you would give me a domain name that I pick and setup a phpnuke layout for my website?

Not the domain name. I do not [yet] offer domain name registration. You would need to register your domain elsewhere (I recommend http://instapro.net ). I will then set up your nuke site.

So the monthly fee is to keep the nuke running?

Not exactly. As with any host, the monthly fee is the "rental" fee for the resources that your site uses. You "rent" disk space and bandwidth.

Thanks for answering my questions. As you can see I'm very interested in this since I don't know much about creating websites. So you are saying that I have to buy a domain name else where but I buy space and bandwidth here? Can you run me through this step by step?

First I need to get domain name right? (just a name right?) Where is a cheap and good place to get a domain ( are there free ones) ?
Then I purchase one of the plans. Then as you said you will set up nuke for me. Is that just the nuke theme and layout? The content and header graphic I do myself right. What if I don't know what to do after you set it up. I know some html but not php. What if I want to change the theme later on how does that work, is it all me at that point?

Usually the free ones only come with hosting packages. Then, if you leave that host, you lose your domain. As I said, I recommend http://instapro.net. I will be offering registration in the not too distant future, but not yet. Here are the basic steps for you.

- Purchase a domain name. Some require you to supply the Domain Name Servers (DNS) of your host at ourchase, others don't. The DNS's for Raven Web Hosting are:
Primary host: ns1.ravenwebhosting.com
Secondary host: ns2.ravenwebhosting.com

- Select the plan you want and Order. Note that at this time I am redoing most everything on this site and only a couple of the plans actually are active for online ordering. However, just contact me for a price quote on the others or for special configurations.

- Once you have paid the plan cost, through PayPal, you will receive a Welcome letter from RWH with instructions on how to access your cPanel and other functions.

- If you want me to install nuke 7.6pl2.9, add that into your comments when you pay for it. Also supply the domain name that you have registered.

- Once I have the site installed and operational, I will turn it over to you for custimation, to you.

Ok last minute question before ordering lol. So setting up nuke for me is it free of charge? Also can you explain what you are setting up for nuke. I've seen nuke sites but don't know exactly what youa re setting up.

I will install a vanilla (out of the box, if you will) php nuke site. Fully operational Smile

. And, with the latest security patches also. There is no installation fee. The $10.00 is a hosting account setup fee.

K so one last question man. Sorry for the trouble because once I'm in theres no turning back Very Happy

. I'm sure I will like the theme but if I don't can I change it (will you help or on my own). Plus you do the layout I put the content right? (what if i have trouble adding the content). Will you do the logo too or is that me? will I get a forum after setup. Also I will get a login thing like this site right? Very Happy

And don't forget all the "Nukies" here to help you out if you get stuck. I too was once like you, but now after learning some things on my own and with Ravens help I am making my own PHPNuke module for my "clan".

Standard nuke comes with several themes. There are also many good sites for free themes. I am your Web Site Hosting Company. I support the servers that you run your applications on. Do you only take paypal? I haven't used it in a while so just added some fund. Anyway in the mean time is it trouble for me to see what a typical phpnuke that you install looks like. Again my main purpose for using nuke is login and forum does it have that?

Nuke comes with several default themes. Login, content management, forums, etc. are all a part of the base install.
